Zoho is anything if not ambitious. With an extensive product portfolio (55+ business apps) and an active vision for strategic growth and market presence (I frequently see Zoho billboard ads in my neighborhood San Francisco BART station), the company has established itself as the quintessential role model for “doing it yourself.” And when it comes to prioritizing innovation and investment in AI, Zoho, to be sure, is all in.
Recently, I sat down with Ram Ramamoorthy, Head of AI at Zoho Corporation, to get an inside look at the company’s latest developments. Our conversation sheds light on Zoho’s commitment to building in-house AI platforms, developing its own Large Language Model (LLM), and new capabilities in speech recognition and customizing AI agents.
Building in-house AI capabilities emphasizes Zoho’s approach to establishing baseline models and a commitment to using first-party data for enterprise applications. Zoho’s new Agent Studio is another leap forward. Designed as a low-code platform, it lets organizations customize AI agents for everyday users. With pre-built agents, privacy controls, and easy integration into Zoho’s suite of apps, companies can automate and streamline workflows across the customer and employee lifecycle.
Ram stressed how Zoho’s recent slew of announcements isn’t just about technology—it’s about empowering partners and customers. One thing was made clear: Zoho is committed to mastering the future of AI “from the ground up,” ensuring business users can shape AI tools to their unique needs.
