Intel Spins off NetMerge Software to Envox

Consolidation of the speech-enabled software stack continues as Intel offloads the NetMerge Call Processing Software (CPS) and CT Application Development Environment (ADE) in a sale to Envox Worldwide. The acquisition adds 1,000 customers with more than 1 million actively deployed ports around the world. Intel sees Envox as a company that will extend the life of the venerable CT-Connect line of CTI and application development software. More importantly, the sale ends an era in which the maker of telecom and computer boards, software and subsystems competes directly with some of its best go-to-market partners.
