Movidilo Moves into North America with West Interactive

We were glad to see that Movidilo – a subsidiary of Spanish hosted speech services company Ydilo – had a booth at the Cellular Telephone and Internet Association (CTIA) convention in Las Vegas this year. It was more interesting to note that Movidilo had forged a relationship with West Interactive, one of the largest providers of automated customer care services in the world. According to a company press release, the two companies will work together to enhance the suite of customer care offerings to mobile phone subscribers.

Ydilo was one of the first companies to build a multi-modal, self-service user interface for mobile customers. Roughly three years ago, Spains Telefonica used Ydilo to present a number of service delivery options to its clients, taking advantage of ability to toggle between spoken and visual input and output. It chartered the Movidilo subsidiary to market the platform more broadly throughout Europe and the rest of the world. The partnership plans to target firms in the communications, financial, healthcare, retail and travel markets (which are strongholds for West Corporation and West Interactive) with a suite of “cutting-edge”, mobile self-service applications.
