News From Verizon Wireless’s First Developer Conference

Picture 1The fragmented world of mobile app stores is evolving (or devolving) with Verizon Wireless holding its first gathering for application developers today. Based on the stream of Tweets emanating from the venue, the big news is that VZW plans to offer a 70/30 revenue split with approved application vendors. There were also reports of an agreement reached whereby RIM is the first, full-fledged partner in the VCast App Store.
