VoiceIT Brings Simple Pricing to Voice Authentication

(Updated Dec. 7, 2015)

Minneapolis-based voice biometrics technology specialist VoiceIt has formally announced a simplified pricing model for its cloud-based voice biometrics offering. As described by CEO and founder Noel Grover explains in the video below, the company has spent the past years creating an offer that makes it easy and inexpensive for independent developers or businesses to put voice authentication into customer workflow in mobile apps, interactive voice response (IVR) systems or Web sites.

The pricing model gives a choice of $0.25 per protected user per month or a fee of $0.025 per authentication.  In the press release a representative of client Twilio calls the company “the Twilio of the voice authentication field,” which is a high bar to set, given the success that Twilio has experienced in growing its developer community, use cases and customer base. It has showcase end-users like Uber, OpenTable, Home Depot and Coca-Cola as examples of customers that have put the platform to use.

Opus Research welcomes the transparency in pricing and looks forward to monitoring the level of uptake among the developer community. There is a strong resemblance to the ViGo offering from VoiceVault. Its tiered pricing starts at $3 per year per for the first 5,000 users and declines to $2 per year for 5,001-10,000. In contrast to VoiceIt, VoiceVault offers a 45 day free trial with access to a Developer Test Environment. After the 45-day free trial, there are fees for enhanced functionality or extended access. VoiceIt offers a $5.00 credit toward either plan its prospects might choose.

We encourage both independent developers and IT-developers in business to avail themselves of these low-price test beds.
